THE INDEX.
The Index is a publication for those who still believe ideas matter.
We write from a liberal tradition: open societies, civil liberties, free inquiry. We are rationalists at heart - curious, skeptical, empirical - but not cynics. We’re not here to perform outrage or play pundit. We’re here to think clearly, write seriously, and trace the hidden architecture of power in an age of acceleration.
Each week, we publish essays, analysis, and commentary on the systems reshaping modern life: algorithms, institutions, capital flows, media infrastructures, and political myths. We follow the logic of these structures to their root, asking who designs them, who governs them, who profits from them, and who pays the cost.
We don’t do hot takes. We don’t flatter ideologies. We don’t write for the algorithm.
We write for readers who want to understand how the world works—and what might be done to make it work better.
The Index is self-funded, independent, and stubbornly thoughtful.
